Another game, another insane triple-double from Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic as he continues to climb the all-time leader board. The 22-year-old Slovenian capped off another impressive game on Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs with a casual triple-double – scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 15 dimes.

The Mavs star has definitely deserved to be clustered with some of the game's best names and his crazy 30-point triple-double performance against the Spurs is just another testament to that. At such a young age, Doncic has now put himself in the conversation as one of the ‘Triple-Double Kings‘, eclipsing the likes of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson with his 18th 30-point triple-double. Though he's still a few games away, the former ROTY is already closing in on former MVPs James Harden of the Brooklyn Nets (30) and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers (34) (h/t to Rob Perez).

It's just been a little over three years since Doncic made his way to the NBA after a very successful stint in Spain with Real Marid. And, as early as now, the two-time All-Star is slowly claiming the throne as the future of the league, not just with impressive individual stats like this, but the way he's been transforming the entire Dallas Mavericks franchise.

Yes, Luka has yet to really find postseason success as the young Mavs continue to find their identity but with him leading the way, legitimate playoff wins seem to be just right around the corner. Doncic has been in the MVP conversation for the past few years so it is not surprising to see him constantly mentioned with former MVPs time and time again.
