The 10-year challenge is the latest social media gimmick that has swept that nation. The challenge calls for one to post a photo of themselves 10 years ago, followed by one from today. Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic is the latest to participate. He posted the two photos on his Instagram, and they can be seen below:

One of the most striking things about Doncic's challenge is the fact that he was only a fourth grader in his throwback picture. It's sometimes hard to fathom that the Slovenian rookie is only 19 years old, and has already taken the NBA by storm.

In his only year in the NBA, Doncic is putting up numbers that any rookie would be jealous of. The 6'7 forward is averaging an impressive 20.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, and five assists per game. His shooting numbers look excellent too; 44 percent from the field and 38 percent from three.

Doncic's true skill might shine brightest when it's needed the most. Per Zach Kram of The Ringer, Doncic is already one of the most clutch players in the NBA:

“Doncic leads all players this season with 16 shots to tie or take the lead in the final five minutes, and in overall clutch situations (shots in the last five minutes with a five-point margin or less) he’s shooting 24-for-46, including 8-for-21 on 3s. That’s good for a 60.9 percent effective field goal percentage—which gives proper weight to 3-pointers—and places him in historic territory.”

While Doncic might have a small sample size of work so far, it seems like he is destined for a great career. Maybe in his next 10 year challenge, he'll be able to post a picture of himself with some NBA hardware.
