Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic is without a doubt one of the biggest names in the NBA today. However, it seems that the Mavs guard is one step behind the New Orleans Pelicans' Zion Williamson — at least in terms of having his own signature shoe.

Jordan Brand recently unveiled Zion's own signature shoe line back in April, and it looks like Doncic is in hot pursuit. On Friday, the Mavs star also unveiled his new personal logo that is set to debut in Luka's Player Edition (PE) of the Jordan XXXVI:

Unlike Zion, however, Doncic isn't getting his own personal shoe line just yet. For now, he'll just have to settle for a PE, which according to Jordan Brand, will be dubbed as the Air Jordan XXXVI “Global Game” PE.

Luka opened up about the process that went into the design of his new logo:

“I really enjoyed working with Jordan Brand on the design of my logo,” Docic said. “I was looking for something bold and recognizable at first sight, something new that would look toward the future.

“It’s inspired by the Möbius strip, which looks like an infinite loop from inside to outside. It’s a very deceptive shape, almost like two lightning bolts. It also looks like my initials, ‘LD,' and my number, 77. The negative space reveals an ‘S' for Slovenia.”

It shouldn't be long until Luka Doncic gets his own signature shoe with Jordan. The Mavs superstar is one of the most prominent brands in the NBA today, and fans from around the world will definitely line up to get their hands on the Luka 1.
