Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic couldn't help but feel frustrated after being ruled out of the Mavs' Game 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Doncic tweaked his ankle late in the third quarter and hobbled into the locker room. He was able to return and start in the fourth quarter, but he was clearly in pain as he struggled to run up and down the floor.

The Mavs eventually decided to sit him out for the rest of the game, finishing his night after 29 minutes and a triple double of 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

However, the competitor that he is, Luka showed his frustration when he headed to the bench.

The Mavs would have surely wanted the Slovenian phenom to continue playing, but with the Clippers in control during the fourth quarter, the team perhaps decided to not risk Luka any more and just let him heal for the next game.

Luka Doncic is undoubtedly the most important player in the Mavs' roster, so his long-term health in the series is naturally the priority for the team. Prior to Friday's showdown, the 21-year-old averaged 35.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.5 steal in the first two games of the first-round playoffs matchup.
