With 12.1 seconds left and the Dallas Mavericks down 126-125 to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night, Luka Doncic drew a foul to send him to the line. He sank the first free throw to tie the game but clanked the second one to keep the Mavs from pulling ahead.

Kyle Kuzma got fouled on the ensuing play, split his free throws as well, and Doncic turned the ball over in the closing seconds to rob the Mavs a chance to win it.

“I was mad because I missed the free throw. Then I lost the ball, too. It was on me this game,” said the Mavs star during the postgame presser, via ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

Luka didn't need to admit he was angry for everyone watching to realize it. Doncic ripped the front part of his jersey after he missed the go-ahead free throw.

His frustration was also palpable during the rest of the Mavs press conference, giving one-liners and taking the blame for a Mavs side he clearly believes must improve compared to what they've shown lately.

The Mavs have lost five of their last six games and have gone 2-7 in their last nine games overall. They still sit at sixth place in a crowded Western Conference playoff race, but at just one game over .500 they have just a single game cushion over the 11th seed Oklahoma City Thunder.

Dallas will be one of the teams to watch come the NBA trade deadline. With a clear need to upgrade the roster around Luka Doncic, expect them to be active in trying to make a move so he won't have to rip his jersey again.
