The LA Clippers snapped the Dallas Mavericks' five-game winning streak on Tuesday. Star guard Luka Doncic flocked to Twitter to express his thoughts on the tough loss.
In the 114-99 loss, Doncic put up 22 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. He was 4-of-14 from the field, 0-of-8 from deep, and 14-of-16 from the free-throw line. He also had three steals and seven turnovers.
The loss brings the Mavs record to 11-6 for fourth in the Western Conference. They entered Tuesday's game on a five-game winning streak. This included big wins over the defending champions the Toronto Raptors and the Houston Rockets. Against the Mike D'Antoni-led squad, the 20-year-old Slovenian dropped 41 points and 10 assists. And during this streak, Doncic was entered into the MVP discussion by various analysts.
The Mavericks have five games left for the month of November. They'll start it off with a three-game road trip which will start in Arizona against the Phoenix Suns on Friday. It'll be a tough match-up considering that the Suns have seemingly rejuvenated their team this season.
They'll head to Staples Center next to face LeBron James and the Lakers. It might be their toughest duel on the three-game road trip. James and the Lakers — currently the best team in the NBA — has showcased thus far that they're dead serious about claiming that title. Before heading back home, they'll match up against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Starting another winning streak will be tough given the Mavs' schedule. But Doncic and the Mavs are very capable of exceeding expectations.
