The Dallas Mavericks didn't get off to an ideal start in their first game of the season, falling to the Atlanta Hawks, 113-87. But Luka Doncic still managed to make history in the process – just by being there.

The Mavs star hit an unreal milestone in the 200th game of his NBA career, reaching totals of 5,000 points, 1,500 rebounds, and 1,500 assists in that span. The accomplishment was first done by Hall-of-Famer Oscar Robertson during the 1962-63 season, his third in the league.

Truth be told, all Luka Doncic had to do was play a single minute because he already had that milestone in the bag. Through his first 199 games, the Mavs star had already tallied 5,115 points, 1,663 rebounds, and 1,534 assists.

The fact that Doncic has been this productive this fast for the Mavs is certainly unprecedented in the modern NBA. Even elite all-around talents who immediately took the league by storm like Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James didn't sniff the record.

LeBron James himself took 224 games to grab 1,500 career rebounds and four more games after that to be able to get his assist total up to the same plateau.

Luka Doncic may not have been named early as part of the NBA's Top 75 all-time list, but the Mavs star has all the makings of an all-time great. Based on this feat alone, it's only a matter of time.
