The Dallas Mavericks are for real. Prior to this season, the team has shown flashes of brilliance behind Luka Doncic. However, the supporting cast has more often than not faltered at the worst of times. Now, though, Luka's finally got company to help him out, and it's an unlikely hero.

Luka Doncic may have been the headliner in Game 7 against the Suns, but Spencer Dinwiddie more than held his own for his new team. The Mavs duo became the first players to score 30 points or more in a Game 7 since a certain Tinseltown duo in 2002. (via ESPN Stats and Info)

Dinwiddie was traded to the Mavs in the middle of the season alongside Davis Bertans. While the latter hasn't seen much action in the post-season, Dinwiddie has proved to be an integral piece for the team. His ability to take over the offense when Luka is resting and co-exist with the star has been paramount to their success. It's a great bounce-back season for the ex-Nets star.

Now, the Mavs are going to be facing their toughest opponent next: the Golden State Warriors. The dynasty of old is going through a renaissance this season. Bolstered by some young talents and their ever-reliable core, the Dubs are going to be incredibly troublesome for this young Dallas team.

If there's one thing this team has proven over the last month, though, is that they can take anyone on. Doncic or no Doncic, the Mavs are going to give their opponents hell. This is will be one of the most exciting series of this playoffs. Buckle up.
