Right after their 154-111 Game 5 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic expressed his optimism in two words.

On Twitter, Doncic conveyed his firm belief that they still have a shot at winning the series despite being down 3-2 to the powerhouse Clippers squad.

Doncic had a decent game with 22 points (6-of-17 shooting, 1-of-6 from deep, 9-of-14 from the free-throw line), eight rebounds and four assists. Tim Hardaway Jr. added 19 points, Trey Burke had 15, while Maxi Kleber had 12. Kristaps Porzingis — the Mavs' second-leading scorer — missed his second consecutive game with knee soreness.

The game was a blowout for the most part, with the Clippers leading as much as 45 points. The Doc Rivers-coached squad outplayed the Mavs in almost every facet of the game. The Clippers had 49 rebounds as opposed to the Mavs' 31, as well as 28 assists compared to just 19 by Dallas.

The Clippers proved to the Mavs why they are one of the favorites to represent the West in the NBA Finals and may even win it all. Initially, Doncic's incredible game-winner in Game 4 gave the Dallas all the momentum to pull off an upset. But lo and behold, Paul George finally put on a stellar performance after several poor games.

Down 2-3, Luka Doncic and the Mavs need to give it everything they have to oust the surging Clippers team. They need to win two wins in a row — difficult yet not an impossible feat.
