Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban fired back at talk radio host Mark Davis and called out the “National Anthem Police” in a series of tweets on Sunday night.

Davis, who has a radio show on KSKY 610 AM, vows to be “OUT” if any Mavs players kneel for the anthem, despite his excitement for the end stretch of the truncated restart.

Cuban had a golden one-word response.

Only a few minutes later, Cuban sent an even stronger message condemning those who still make it about the anthem, while ignoring the cause:

Cuban has ruffled feathers for his progressive views as a franchise owner in a red state, but the multi-billionaire has never been shy about expressing his opinions — especially if it pertains to politics.

Kneeling during the anthem isn't disrespecting the country or flag whatsoever, but rather a demonstration to call for social justice. Back in June, Cuban expressed avid support for any of his players who were thinking about taking a knee during the anthem:

“If they were taking a knee and they were being respectful, I’d be proud of them,” said Cuban. “Hopefully I’d join them because I think we’ve learned a lot since 2017.”

Three years ago, Cuban expected his players to stand for the anthem, but the Mavs owner has seen the Black Lives Matter movement and the call to end racism and social injustice grow stronger in recent years.

Cuban can live with Davis choosing to self-eject to the void, as several players are bound to kneel during the anthem in hopes of making a public stand.
