As expected, Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle still doesn't sound too pleased about Mavs star power forward Kristaps Porzingis getting ejected on Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Mavs coach doesn't believe players should get technicals or ejected for punching the air, per Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News.

The Kristaps Porzingis ejection was a huge turning point in the Clippers-Mavs game. With the way Mavs superstar Luka Doncic played (42 points), had Porzingis not been tossed, a case can be made Dallas may have stolen Game 1.

Moving forward, the refs need to get control of games sooner. Even Clippers fans were questioning the KP ejection since all he did was defend Doncic against Marcus Morris although his presence did cause a second motion that could have made things worse.

However, Los Angeles supporters were no doubt happy to see their team get the win on Monday to go up 1-0 in the best-of-seven series.

Porzingis appeared in 57 games for the Mavs during the 2019-20 regular season. He averaged 20.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists while shooting 42.7 percent from the field, 35.2 percent from beyond the arc, and 79.9 percent from the free-throw line. His bubble performance was even more spectacular, earning him second-team honors for the NBA's ceremonial All-Bubble Team.

Dallas fans can expect Porzingis to come out with a little extra aggression in Game 2. While there is no home-court advantage in the Disney bubble, the Mavs would certainly like to avoid going down 0-2 to a Clippers squad led by superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
