Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle can't help but call out NBA officials for the crucial missed call that resulted in his Mavs losing in overtime to the Los Angeles Lakers last Friday.

Carlisle is referring to the last play in regulation which saw Dwight Howard hold the jersey of Seth Curry. It was an obvious foul which also prevented Curry from guarding Danny Green, who hit a clutch 3-pointer to send the game to overtime.

In the NBA's L2M reports, the officials admitted that they indeed failed to call a foul against Howard on that play.

It's safe to say that the Mavs gave the Lakers a run for their money, and they could have gotten the win if it wasn't for the no-foul call by the officials.

Dallas was led by second-year guard Luka Doncic, who finished with 31 points, 13 rebounds and 15 assists.

The Mavs have been one of the most impressive teams in the early stages of the season. With Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis leading the way, the team is giving fans hope that they can be good enough to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Last season, NBA referees faced a lot of heat due to the tons of missed calls which impacted the outcome of a lot of games. Hopefully, the league addresses this issue moving forward.
