The Dallas Mavericks won their second straight game Tuesday, as the Mavs easily handled the Los Angeles Lakers 128-110. In the win, Mavs superstar Luka Doncic posted yet another triple double. But this one was special. He scored 34 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and dropped 12 assists in 30 minutes on the court. In doing so, he joined only Giannis Antetokounmpo as players to have multiple triple-doubles in 30 minutes played or less.

Doncic was also extremely efficient, knocking down 12 of his 23 shots from the field.

With the win, the Mavs improved to 47-29 on the season. They are the #4 seed in the Western Conference, a game and a half ahead of the Utah Jazz for home court in the first round.

One thing that made Tuesday's performance a bit easier was the lack of LeBron James. James was ruled out a couple hours before tip off, leaving the Lakers shorthanded as they were already without Anthony Davis.

Doncic is having another stellar season for the Mavs. Despite starting the season off slowly, Doncic is averaging 27.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game. He also has the ninth best Player Efficiency Rating this season at 24.22. But he has not garnered not nearly as much attention this season.

Much of that has to do with the emergence of Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant. The Mavs have quietly flown under the radar all season, yet pose a threat in the west. Dallas will likely need Doncic to continue playing at this level though if they want to make a deep run in the postseason.
