Mavs All-Star Dirk Nowitzki has established himself as one of the greatest players in NBA history. He's not just a great athlete, though. “Der große Deutsche,” as he's known, also has a great sense of humor.

As a bit of a joke, the Mavs' social media team created their own rendition of Steve Carell's “40-Year-Old Virgin.” Naturally, Nowitzki was the star of the show.

In the clip, which is aptly named “The 40-Year-Old German,” Nowitzki recreated some of the best moments from the hit film. Some of his teammates made cameo appearances in the act as well, including Luka Doncic, J.J. Barea and Dennis Smith Jr.

The Mavs released the video during Sunday night's home game against the Oklahoma City Thunder:

Nowitzki logged 10 minutes in Sunday's 105-103 victory, scoring six points on 2-of-3 shooting from the 3-point line and three rebounds. Doncic led all Dallas scorers with 25 points and seven assists. Smith Jr. added 14 points and the game-winning bucket.

With the win, the Mavs improved their record at American Airlines Center this season to 15-3.

The Mavs and Thunder will wrap up their back-to-back set of games against one another on Monday night — this time in OKC. Tip-off inside Chesapeake Energy Arena is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
