The Dallas Mavericks enjoyed a massive lead over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, and fans inside the American Airlines Center were hoping to see Mavs' reserve point guard JJ Barea check in to the game.

The 35-year-old Puerto Rican, after all, has only appeared once in Dallas’ first 14 games of the season, scoring 11 points in Dallas' win over the Orlando Magic earlier this month.

With 2:40 left in regulation, the home crowd chanted “We want JJ”, which caught the attention of Barea who was joking around with Luka Doncic on the bench at the time.

The 13-year vet played played with the crowd as he sprinted to the scorer’s table, then quickly made a U-Turn back to his seat. The hilarious move left Doncic and the rest of the Mavs bench in stitches.

Barea, who played a big role off the bench in Dallas’ championship run in 2011, is now entering the twilight of his career. He has career averages of 9.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 803 regular season games played.
