Three things that take a long time: Finding love, waiting for the food to heat in the microwave, and Josh Richardson's basket in their game against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.

The Dallas Mavericks sniper clearly defied the laws of physics in the middle of the third quarter as his shot took its sweet, sweet time rolling in the rim before deciding to finally drop in. According to experts, it took approximately 352,000 minutes.

It also felt like Richardson willed the ball to go in as he repeatedly stomped his feet like a five-year-old throwing a huge tantrum.

Even Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal couldn't help but react to the crazy basket.

In the end, the Mavericks fell short, losing 106-102. Richardson, who was acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers in the offseason in exchange for Seth Curry, had a decent debut for the Mavericks. He had 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting and added seven rebounds. He played 36 minutes, tied with Luka Doncic and Dorian Finney-Smith for team-high honors.

The 27-year-old Richardson averaged 13.7 points and 3.2 boards for the Sixers last season and he is expected to provide more outside shooting and backcourt defense for the Mavericks. He is a 42.6 percent career shooter, including 36.3 percent from long distance.

Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle is hoping that the former Tennessee star could be their missing piece after falling short the past few seasons. Josh Richardson has already said that he wants to be an anchor of their defense and provide timely baskets.

If that entails more feet-stomping, then so be it.
