It was another close call for Luka Doncic as the Dallas Mavericks forward got into another mishap after tripping on a mop.

In their scrimmage against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, Doncic almost suffered a potential injury after tripping on a mop. Safe to say that it wasn't Doncic's day.

Earlier in the game, Luka Doncic was almost hit by the robotic sideline camera after trying to save the ball.  It seems that no one was controlling the camera the way it tracked to Doncic's direction. Good thing that Doncic is an athlete with elite reflexes or he would've been hit in the head.

It would've been unfortunate if Doncic suffered a serious injury after those two mishaps. It's likely that he would've suffered some sort of concussion if he got hit by that camera. With the mop, it's probable that the Slovenian would've sustained a sprain or worse, a torn ligament or muscle. Who knows?

Be as it may, Mavs fans can now collectively breathe easily. After all, Doncic is the best player on the team. While the Mavs hold an impressive 40-27 record, they aren't in the playoffs just yet. They are seventh in the West and still need to win a chunk of the seeding games to secure their spot and perhaps move up the ranks.

The Mavs haven't qualified for the playoffs since the 2015-16 season. As such, clinching a playoff spot is a significant milestone for the Mark Cuban-owned team. For Doncic and the rest, some playoff experience will aid their resolve moving forward.
