Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic once again impressed NBA audiences with an eye-opening move that left Golden State Warriors defenders Klay Thompson and Jonas Jerebko in the dust.

Doncic finished the play with a perfect lob to Dwight Powell, who soared through the air for an easy dunk. The Slovenian rookie usually impresses crowds with his deadly step back, but now he has shown that he can be an excellent distributor as well.

The 19-year-old finished the game against the Warriors with 26 points but only shot 8-of-18 from the field. He also grabbed six rebounds and handed out five assists.

Even though Doncic played decently, the Mavericks were defeated by a final score of 119-114 despite leading for most of the game. In the end, Stephen Curry was simply too much for the Mavs. The sharpshooter drilled 11 threes, including one with 48 seconds left that gave the Warriors a lead they would never lose.

Even though Dallas lost, they can be encouraged by this game. They played blow for blow with one of the best teams of the league and only barely lost. If Curry doesn't have one of his best games of the season, the Mavericks probably win this game.

The team has dropped all the way to 20-23 after starting the season 15-11. They stand at 13th in the Western Conference and have endured losses to some sub-par teams lately. Dallas can hope that Doncic has enough talent to lead the team to a playoff spot this year, but they will look forward to his growth no matter the outcome.
