Tim Hardaway Jr. of the Dallas Mavericks wants to move on from the past. In an autograph session with some fans, the Mavs guard denied signing some New York Knicks memorabilia.

Peep the clip below. Hardaway politely declined to sign anything with the Knicks' imprint on it. Good thing that the fan quickly understood where the 27-year-old Mav was coming from and didn't bug him or ask why.

To recall, Tim Hardaway Jr. was actually picked by the Knicks as the 24th overall pick in 2013. He spent two good seasons there where he was tagged as an up and coming young star for the franchise. But in the summer of 2015, the Knicks traded him to the Atlanta Hawks.

Ahead of the 2017-18 season, the Hawks extended a qualifying offer to Hardaway. But then, seemingly out of the blue, the Knicks offered him a hefty four-year, $71 million. And when the Hawks opted not to match their offer, Hardaway went on to his second stint with the team that both drafted and traded him away. It puzzled tons of analysts. After all, why would the Knicks show some interest to a player they traded away?

But fast forward to a month before the trade deadline in the 2018-19 season, the Knicks traded him away (for the second time), to the Mavs. You can definitely understand why the Hardaway didn't want any part of the Knicks anymore.
