The light at the end of the tunnel may be near for Metta World Peace and his NBA career. The 37-year old small forward has yet to lock down a signed contract with the Los Angeles Lakers or any other team yet, but he still has high hopes for the franchise he has played the last few years of his career with.

Metta World Peace gives an endearing nod to the Lakers' latest hot ticket item Lonzo Ball, who is nearly averaging a triple double in the Lav Vegas Summer League so far. The 19-year old UCLA standout point guard has the media ranting and raving about everything he does in the NBA, but Metta World Peace wants that attention geared towards a positive outlook. World Peace obviously has some pride for the team he played over four years with at two different times (2009-13 and 2015-2017), so instilling both hope and hype early on for Lonzo might be good for his morale.

Lonzo is in position to start his legacy off on the right note. The dominant Golden State Warriors seem to be running the show as of right now, but other teams will continually build as the Lakers have done and become legit title contenders in the next few years.
