The Chicago Bears currently sit in the cellar of the NFC North at an underwhelming 3-4. With Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky struggling mightily throughout the season, especially on Sunday afternoon against the lowly Los Angeles Chargers, in addition to encountering some injury trouble along the way, Chicago will need to bounce back in a big way in Week 9 against the surging Philadelphia Eagles — under center and otherwise.

With the Bears slated to hit the road to take on the 4-4 Eagles, it appears as though the team's success going forward will hinge on the shoulders of Trubisky's play. Despite the fact that the Bears signal caller has missed some time this season due to a lingering shoulder injury, it doesn't appear as though Chicago has any inclination to make the switch back to backup quarterback Chase Daniel.

As a result, this could be a make or break matchup for the Bears in Week 9 as both the arch rival Green Bay Packers and always dangerous Minnesota Vikings aren't getting any worse any time soon.

Mitchell Trubisky will throw four interceptions against the Eagles

The Chicago Bears have simply refused to run the football, which could potentially stem from the fact that the NFC North franchise has continually played from behind or in close games this season. With that in mind, it does not appear as though head coach Matt Nagy has any intentions of changing up his gameplan even though he has repeatedly stated that he realizes that his team must run the football more frequently.

Because most of the workload has repeatedly fell on the shoulders of quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, the same will happen once again against the Philadelphia. As a result of forcing Trubisky to lead the way on offense, the Bears signal caller will not only be unable to succeed but he will throw a whopping four interceptions in Week 9.

Mitchell Trubisky won't account for a single touchdown in Week 9

The opposing Philadelphia Eagles coming directly off of a win on the road over a solid Buffalo Bills team, the NFC East franchise will enter Sunday's matchup against the Chicago Bears will some serious confidence. Couple that with the fact that the Bears are struggling in a big way right now and it will certainly be tough to turn things around against the Eagles.

Because the Bears seem to be in their own head these days, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky won't even be able to find the end zone on Sunday. To make matters worse, if the Bears can't score touchdowns, Chicago may not score at all as the team's kicking game is in shambles as well.

Mitchell Trubisky will be benched against the Eagles

This can go one of two ways. The first is that Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky plays so poorly that head coach Matt Nagy has no choice but to turn to backup quarterback Chase Daniel in order to both keep his team in the game and to potentially salvage its season. On the other hand, the Philadelphia Eagles may take full advantage of the struggling Bears en route to blowing the game wide open early, which could lead to Nagy saving Trubisky from himself before things can get any worse — live to see another day, in other words.
