The Houston Astros will face off against the Atlanta Braves in game six of the World Series Tuesday night. Atlanta is currently leading the series 3-2 and they can win the World Series with a win. The Astros have announced that Luis Garcia will start on three days of rest.
Garcia pitched in-game three and threw 72 pitches. It is likely that Garcia will only face the Braves lineup one time around the order before the Astros turn it over to their bullpen. The Astros Bullpen has been sensational in the World Series and they have posted a 1.75 era in 25 2/3 innings this Series.
The good news for the Astros is that Christian Javier and Jake Odorizzi didn't pitch in game five so they'll be well-rested for game six. They also had an off-day so there is a good chance that their whole bullpen will be ready to go.
The Astros are returning to Minute Maid which means that the designated hitter is back in effect and they will have slugger Yordan Alvarez back at the DH spot. Dusty Baker is keeping Alex Bregman in the seven-hole after his 2-4 performance including an RBI in game five.
Houston will look to take this to game seven and come back from a 3-1 deficit that they faced against the Braves. Many people believe that with the win in game 5 Houston has a very good chance to win this series. Being back in Houston will certainly help them out.
