It seems Will Smith the actor isn't the only Will Smith being affected by his wild antics at The Oscars over the weekend. Hollywood remains up in arms over Smith's controversial outburst at the event, during which he slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage. That anger is extending over to the Los Angeles Dodgers, apparently. During the Dodgers' Spring Training game against the Texas Rangers in Surprise, Arizona on Thursday, catcher Will Smith received a chorus of boos upon making his way to the plate, per Kennedi Landry.

There was seemingly no reason for the boos, other than the fact that he shares a name with the Hollywood actor. The Rangers and Smith have no beef, at least not that we're aware of, so there doesn't seem any reason for fans in attendance to have been booing the catcher, other than for his name.

Well, the boo birds didn't seem to faze Smith, who launched a triple to straightaway center field in response. Talk about handling the haters. Smith is out there getting booed merely for sharing the name with a controversial actor, but he's clearly not letting it impact him.

Oddly enough, there's yet another prominent Will Smith within MLB. The Atlanta Braves also roster a reliever going by the exact same name, though as of yet he has not been showered with boos during any of his appearances in the spring.

All that's left is for MLB to hook the actor up with a pair of tickets to a Dodgers-Braves game this season in order to get all three in the same building.
