Although Cody Bellinger was seen as possibly returning on Tuesday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed that things haven't gone according to plan with his rib injury thus far.

In all honestly, the Dodgers won't exactly be missing what Cody Bellinger is producing on the plate this season. The former National League MVP has seemingly turned into a pumpkin this season. His percentages have been even worse than putrid, batting a .159 average that would make Mario Mendoza blush.
Things just haven't gone right for Cody Bellinger this season. With absolutely no reason to rush back from his injury, it might be best for him to make sure he's at 100% before rejoining the team. Perhaps his third time on the IL would be the charm for him to get some positive at-bats as the Dodgers have their eye towards the postseason.
