The MLB Players Association Union and the MLB have yet to reach an agreement on the current lockout. Many elite players, like New York Yankees star pitcher Gerrit Cole, are starting to get a little angry about how long this matter has gone.

Gerrit Cole was apparently present at one of the talks with the owners and representatives from the players union. Unfortunately, no agreement has yet been reached, but Gerrit Cole was pleased with what he observed from the players on Wednesday.

In a recent tweet, Cole had this to say,

“I was at our PA meeting in AZ and it was exciting to see solidarity this high. We had 100+ players show up and are united to protect the integrity of the game.”

It's encouraging to see players attempting to speed up the process. It has been reported on several occasions that the MLB and some of its selfish owners are to blame for the prolongation of the lockout. Many players, like Gerrit Cole, have stated that all they want to do is go back out on the field and start getting ready for the season.

Players will not be able to have as lengthy of a spring training as they would normally, which is a huge concern for a variety of reasons. When players do not receive the appropriate training, we may see more injuries in the MLB, something the league does not want to see.
