AJ McKee has always been linked with the UFC and has been in a lot of people's fantasy MMA matchups. He has been tearing up the competition in Bellator and has now issued a challenge.
Cross-promotion fights between the UFC and Bellator don't happen. AJ McKee can either come to UFC or… bring the UFC to him?
The Bellator featherweight champion did an interview with The Schmo where he issued a challenge to the top featherweights in MMA. The challenge isn't a cheap one though.
“Come down to Body Shop,” McKee said. “We all know I just made a million. All you UFC fighters, PFL, wherever you at. If you feel you are the best 145-pounder in the world, I got a million dollars cash money. Come test it.”
“I’m the best 145-pound fighter – not only the best 145-pound fighter – I am the best fighter in the world,” McKee continued. “And if you don’t know, you will know momentarily.”
AJ McKee had some specific people in mind when he made the call out. Top featherweights Alex Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and Brian Ortega are all on his radar.
The deal is simple if they can't fight under the UFC or Bellator banner then they can compete in the gym. Fighters don't fight for free right?
That's exactly why AJ McKee wants to put up the million dollars. The winner walks away with a cool million while the loser is forced to live with a loss both in MMA and in life.
