The world of MMA praised Roman Faraldo after delivering a nasty flying knee knockout on Robert Turnquest at Bellator 271 on Saturday.

Faraldo looked great during the first round of their Bellator 271 bout at Hollywood’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. He initially shook Turnquest with a left hook to the head which had Turnquest stumbling around the cage.

Smelling blood in the water, Faraldo pointed at him with ill-intent before going after Turnquest with a Jorge Masvidal-Esque flying knee. No follow-up strikes were thrown—not that they were needed. Turnquest flopped and fell into the fence, and slid down to the canvas motionless—forcing the referee to call the end of the fight. Bellator made sure to share the crazy knockout via their Twitter account.

The knockout at Bellator 271 shook the MMA community—quickly garnering cries for knockout of the year. The 28-year old fighter remains undefeated in his professional career. He further extends his win streak to 6 wins in a row—all of which have come via knockout, including a similar flying knee knockout on his Bellator debut fight against Pat Casey.

Following his nasty knockout, Faraldo made sure to call out Jason Jackson for his next Bellator fight who was seen watching in the stands—fighting Jackson next will surely build on Faraldo's stock—which is already on the rise.
