Dikembe Mutombo‘s name has come up a number of times recently.

This past week, he was sought out by reporters after fellow Congolese big man Bismack Biyombo used his patented finger wag against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Being the gracious man that he is, Mutombo didn't mind.

A more amusing story came out last night, though.

After the Golden State Warriors held off the Oklahoma City Thunder to force a Game 6 in the Western Conference Finals on Saturday, Mutombo attempted to get into the Warriors locker room to talk to Stephen Curry.

It's didn't go as planned for the eight-time All-Star center:

As Thompson points out, the moment would've been truly epic had the security guard wagged his finger at Mutombo.

I'm sure Dikembe was or will be able to connect with Curry eventually, but it wasn't happening right after such a big game.
