The NBA has officially announced the list of participants for the various events in part of All-Star Weekend in Chicago, including the Taco Bell Skills Challenge.

The winner of this challenge last year was Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, and he will be competing again this season to defend his title. It's certainly worth noting that Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who won the event in 2018 but wasn't invited in 2019, will be back for 2020.

The other participants in the contest are rather interesting. The other guards aside from Dinwiddie include Detroit Pistons floor general Derrick Rose and Los Angeles Clippers defensive stalwart Patrick Beverley. It was a long time ago since Rose last participated in this event, having won it back in 2009 and losing in 2011. Meanwhile, Beverley was a winner back in 2015.

None of the NBA bigs have previously participated in the skills challenge before, and that group includes Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo, and Indiana Pacers forward Domantas Sabonis. It will be a unique opportunity for them to each showcase a bit of their versatility in the skills department.

Some of the players that will take part in those component of NBA All-Star Weekend are also participating in the actual All-Star Game itself, like Siakam, Tatum, Adebayo and Sabonis. It was a close call for Dinwiddie, but he didn't quite make the cut despite his strong season for the Nets.

The Taco Bell Skills Challenge will take place on Feb. 15 at the United Center.
