Kansas Jayhawks flamethrower Gradey Dick is projected to be a lottery pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and teams will be glad to know that he's decided he's ready to take the next step in his basketball journey.

Having played just one season with the Jayhawks, Dick shot 40.3 percent from the 3-point range in his freshmen season on his way to averaging 14.1 points per game.

Scoring on a heavy diet of jump shots, Dick didn't only dot the eyes of his opponents from beyond the arc but inside of it as well. With that skillset, perhaps the best NBA comparison for Dick is a taller version of NBA sharpshooter and current analyst JJ Redick.

Dick is also a smart team defender. So, at 6-foot-8 and 205 pounds, there's definitely a lot to like about the 19-year-old.

While every team could use another shooter, the teams in the lottery that could legitimately wind up drafting him in the lottery are many.

In the Eastern Conference, the Orlando Magic, Washington Wizards, New York Knicks, and Toronto Raptors could all add use the help from outside.

If the Magic (who have two picks in the lottery) draft him, they would be adding a worthwhile off-ball player to complement a group of players that are better scoring inside. The Raptors, who could lose 3-and-D wing Gary Trent Jr. this offseason, are another team to watch in particular.

Looking west, the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder are teams to watch. The Los Angeles Lakers, currently projected to have the 16th overall pick, are as well.

The Lakers, a woeful shooting team, would undoubtedly be excited to add a player like Dick. The Thunder, a promising young team, have too many playmakers to have so few shooters.
