Toronto Raptors superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard was so close to stealing the ball in the closing seconds of Game 2 of the NBA Finals, but Golden State Warriors backup point guard Shaun Livingston saved the day — and maybe the series — for the Dubs.

Warriors star Stephen Curry threw a pass to Livingston as he was escaping a double-team. Watching the play live, it looked like Leonard had a clear angle at stealing the ball. However, because Livingston was coming toward the ball, he was able to snatch the ball away from the Raptors star and ultimately set up Andre Iguodala for the game-sealing 3-pointer.

The Raptors and Warriors are now tied at 1-1, with Games 3 and 4 set to be played in Oakland. It was a huge comeback win for the Warriors, who now have home court advantage in the series.

The Raptors' putrid third quarter was the main reason they lost Game 2. The Warriors outscored the Raptors 34-21 in the third quarter. It took Toronto almost five minutes to score their first basket.

Basketball really is a game of inches. It's pretty crazy that Leonard, even with his enormous hands, wasn't able to steal that ball. The Warriors are counting their blessings that Livingston was at the right place at the right time and the Raptors weren't able to steal the game.
