In many ways, spending money on an NBA card pack is a gamble that doesn't always pan out in the end. While the risk for low-end packs is almost non-existent, those that sell for a whole lot more aren't for the fainthearted at all. More often than not, the return one would get from those high-end packs wouldn't be enough to cover the money spend on them at the end of the day. But while that may be the case, there's bound to be an exception. Case in point, these three Kaboom cards inside a single pack.

In a video shared by Goldin on Instagram, a breaker who goes by the handle of rippasaurus was seen opening a pack of Panini Crown Royale online. Even as the NBA card pack was opened, a glimpse of a Kaboom can already be seen. That one alone would have been great since this card usually comes out only once per case. In the case of this pack, it had two more.

The first Kaboom NBA card to pop out was one that features Ben Wallace, the Detroit Pistons' All-Star center during the squad's 2004 championship run. The Atlanta Hawk's All-Star point guard Trae Young followed with a Kaboom of his own as the Boston Celtics' Bill Russell came out last.

Russell's Kaboom is currently valued at $397 while Wallace's is going for $525 on eBay right now. The Kaboom NBA card featuring Young, on the other hand, is priced at $583. When added together, the approximate value of these three case-hit cards is around $1,505.

To put things into context, a hobby box of Panini's 2021-22 Crown Royale, which contains eight cards in a single pack, costs around $430. Pulling those three NBA cards featuring Trae Young, Ben Wallace, and Bill Russell, from that one pack guarantees more than just the return of the price paid for the pack itself. And while most high-end packs usually end up disappointing, this one will certainly make anyone very happy.
