Former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Bogut is retiring from the NBA, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Milwaukee Bucks drafted Bogut with the first pick in the 2005 NBA draft. The 36-year-old also played for the Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers.

Bogut was part of the 2014-15 Warriors team. Led by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala, the Dubs won the 2015 title over LeBron James and the Cavs in six games.

Andrew Bogut finishes his NBA career with averages of 9.6 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 706 games, all while shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 55.7 percent from the free-throw line. He was the 2010-11 blocks champion with the Bucks and made the 2014-15 All-Defensive second team as a member of the Warriors.

During the 2016-17 season, Bogut played in only 58 seconds with the Cavs after fracturing his left tibia. It was a horrific injury, one which sent a chill through the Cleveland crowd.

In 2017-18, Bogut made his return to the NBA after rehabbing his injury and played 24 games for the Lakers. He came back to the Warriors in 2018-19, appearing in 11 games. Bogut will always be beloved by Dubs fans since he played a crucial role on the 2015 championship team.

Even though he never made an All-Star team, Bogut still had a productive career in the NBA.
