Chris Paul welcomed back two of his former teammates who found their way back to the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers signed forward JR Smith a few days ago, while the Brooklyn Nets just agreed to bring in savvy swing man Jamal Crawford ahead of the season restart later this July.

The Oklahoma City Thunder star showed some love to both Smith and Crawford in a tweet:

Obviously, the 10-time All Star has nothing but love and respect for both veterans, whom he had the joy of playing with in his long tenure in the NBA.

CP3 was initially teammates with Smith in the New Orleans Hornets when he was drafted in 2005, eventually playing two seasons together. On the other hand, the NBA playmaker also spent some time alongside Crawford when they both spearheaded the Los Angeles Clippers' back court from 2012 to 2017.

The 2006 Rookie of The Year is no stranger to being shipped from team to team, as he's now on his fourth team in the league in his 15th playing season. With that said, it's pretty safe to say that Chris Paul can relate to the relief and joy that JR Smith and Jamal Crawford are feeling at the moment.

Both Smith and Crawford are looking to add some experience to their new teams. As an NBA champion back in 2016, Smith is hoping he can bring some much-needed firepower to the already-potent offense of the Lakers, while three-time Sixth Man of the Year awardee Crawford is expected to add some veteran leadership to the young Nets.

It's definitely going to be exciting to see these vets suit up in Orlando.
