The NBA has released the list of matchups that we will see on Christmas Day this season, and NBA fans are sure to be pleased. Five games are slated to be played, and all of them are sure to be entertaining. Here are the matchups, with the home team listed second:

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Los Angeles Lakers

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Denver Nuggets

Boston Celtics vs. Toronto Raptors

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors

The matchup that immediately jumps off the page is the Clippers-Lakers matchup. The teams both completely reshaped their rosters this year, and both are expected to be title contenders. The fact that they share a city and home stadium just makes the showdown even more entertaining for NBA fans.

The defending NBA champion Raptors will look to prove that they still have to be taken seriously even despite the loss of Leonard in free agency, when they match up with the retooled, Kemba Walker-led Celtics.

Russell Westbrook will get his first Christmas Day game as a Rocket in the Bay Area, ensuring a showdown between three former MVPs, while the reigning NBA MVP will head to Philadelphia.

The Pelicans are probably the weakest team on the slate, but the NBA couldn't pass up the opportunity of having Zion Williamson perform on Christmas. We'll get a chance to see him play in the Mile High City against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets in what should be an intriguing matchup of two up-and-coming Western Conference hopefuls.

The full  regular-season NBA schedule is set to be released in the coming weeks.
