Ice Cube's Big 3 has seen a lot of success since its inception in 2017, and the fact that it still stays five years later speaks volume of its growing popularity. However, it looks like the NBA has problems with it.

In an exclusive interview with Basketball News, Ice Cube shared the fact that the NBA has not really been that supportive of his Big 3 league. While it doesn't appear that the top pro league has problems with his 3×3 competition, the American rapper and businessman highlighted that isn't the case at all.

“The NBA hasn't been the nicest to the BIG3. Of course, publicly, they say all the right words. But we know privately, there's things done behind the scenes [with] sponsors, broadcasters, blah blah blah… It did tarnish my fandom a bit,” the 52-year-old founder shared.

Ice Cube then went on to emphasize that the NBA should not see his Big 3 as a competition. Instead, it actually serves as a complementary league given that they only play 3×3. Not to mention that most of the players of his tournament are former league players.

It remains to be seen what Adam Silver and the NBA will say in response to Ice Cube's claim, though it will definitely be interesting to see if both organizations can find a way to work together.
