J.R. Smith is officially a full go to take his talents from the hardwood of the NBA to the college golf ranks. The NCAA has officially cleared Smith, making him eligible to golf at North Carolina A&T.

The campus at NC A&T has reacted seeing J.R. Smith on campus at the school with plenty of eyeballs going his direction.

As for the caption to the video, Smith had a response to that as well, via Complex through his Instagram.

“Ight that Henny shit really not funny tho can y’all try a different joke,” Smith wrote, adding that he harbors no ill will to the student who took the original video. “Not really mad at the kid honestly they gone say whatever but [House of Highlights] the disrespect y’all post it’s truly enough…Not one positive post about going to school an trying to better myself! Y’all make it look so weak/corny to inspire my people to want to do better you consistently bring up an post bullshit.”

The good news is that Smith seems genuinely happy and excited for the opportunity to golf collegiately at NC A&T.

“It was probably one of the most exciting feelings I've had in a while. I really didn't know how it was going to go…but to be able to actually call myself a student-athlete is a great feeling.”

This will be awesome to follow along with and a tip of the cap goes to J.R. Smith for taking the opportunity to go back to school and golf on the squad while being back.
