Boston Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving is getting tired of the media and says no writer in the industry should be able to question his, LeBron James and Kevin Durant's body of work.
Irving has been under a lot of scrutiny from the media lately because of the Celtics' struggles this season. The same goes for LeBron, whose Lakers are on the verge of missing the postseason.
Durant and the Golden State Warriors are cruising along just fine, but KD has been bashed for joining the Warriors back in 2016 non stop.
Irving says the media exploits NBA players and that words can be very harmful at times.
Kyrie Irving is right in the sense that if a writer is questioning his, LeBron James and Kevin Durant's body of work, the media has gotten out of control.
Even if James and the Lakers miss the playoffs this season, it shouldn't affect The King's legacy. He's still the best player in the NBA and one of the greats of the game. Sure, Durant took the easy way out by joining the Warriors, but it doesn't take away from how stellar of a player he is. When it's all said and done, KD could go down as the greatest scorer in NBA history.
Irving is one of the best point guards in the NBA. He's still learning how to be a leader, though. It takes time and practice to become a leader of a basketball team, but the media doesn't help matters when they are constantly writing pieces in a negative light.
