LaVar Ball has been banned from appearing on all ESPN platforms following his controversial response to Molly Qerim when he was a guest at ‘First Take' last week. However, Lonzo Ball's father doesn't seem to be affected by it.

The Ball family patriarch was discussing the recent trade between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans that saw Lonzo sent to the latter as part of the package for Anthony Davis. LaVar was in the middle of a debate with Stephen A. Smith when Molly Qerim asked him “Can we switch gears?” LaVar then responded with “You can switch gears with me anytime” — a response which obviously didn't sit well with Qerim.

After the show, ESPN told LaVar that his comments were inappropriate. Ball then responded through his representative that he didn't mean for it to sound like a sexual remark.

LaVar stands by his statement up to this point and even have some choice words for Molly.

Fans who've watched the episode had mixed reactions about the controversial segment. Others are saying that LaVar indeed made an inappropriate statement towards Qerim, while the rest are saying that there was nothing wrong with what he said.

Either way, ESPN hasn't changed its decision and it doesn't look like they are planning to lift the ban on LaVar anytime soon. Of course, that can change in the future, especially if Lonzo wins a championship or LaMelo gets drafted first overall next summer.

But for now, no LaVar Ball on ESPN.
