Perry Jones hasn't played a game in the NBA since 2015. Back then, he was just a 23-year old trying to make his name in the league with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Unfortunately, injuries and some unfortunate circumstances derailed what looked like a promising NBA career.

Four years later, Jones is feeling healthy again. And this time, he's showcasing his talents in the BIG3, playing for the Enemies. Feeling revitalized, the 27-year-old Jones is reportedly eyeing a return to the NBA, per Erik Horne of The Oklahoman.

“It’s been a tough road for sure, but things are definitely looking better,” Perry Jones said. “I’m healthy again and it’s kinda cool to be able to play the game I love regardless of the number of people on the court.

“This is just another stepping stone in my professional career. I try to have fun with the game I love. That’s all I can do.”

Jones never gained any traction in his career playing in OKC. They had two world-class superstars in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook at that time, so he was never given the opportunity to shine. There was just no way he could topple those two on the Thunder hierarchy.

Jones' skills and abilities were never in doubt. He's a 6-foot-11 long, versatile and athletic forward who can put the ball on the floor and has a pretty smooth-looking jumper to boot. Had he stayed healthy and gotten the opportunity to grow and develop his game, Jones would be a hot commodity in the league.

Circumstances never allowed Jones to live up to his potential. Now, he'll have to prove his worth once again in the renowned 3-on-3 league.
