Here is something to get very excited about: Episode 5 of ESPN's “The Last Dance” docu-series will heavily feature none other than Los Angeles Lakers legend and NBA icon Kobe Bryant.

This is according to Arash Markazi of The Los Angeles Times:

“Episode 5 is dedicated to Kobe Bryant. His interview was filmed at his office in Costa Mesa last July and they edited it a week before his passing. They went back and looked at it after but it was perfect; nothing needed to be changed. The only edit was the dedication at the top.”

As if Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls wasn't enough, we will now be treated by a Kobe Bryant appearance on the epic documentary, which presumably will focus on how Jordan has influenced the Black Mamba throughout the latter's decorated NBA career. We just hope Kobe gets enough airtime, and that we won't be left wanting for more.

The debate as to who the greater player is between Kobe and MJ (and LeBron James) is a topic of discussion that will never end. It is just human nature to compare the greats. It is clear, however, that there is a mutual respect between two of the greatest players of all time.

For the record, Jordan previously admitted that if anyone could beat him in a game of one-on-one, it would probably be Bryant. Jordan did have a pretty savage reason as to why he believes the same, though.

At this point, we just can't wait for Sunday night's “The Last Dance.”
