It's been an interesting year for the Toronto Raptors. For much of the year, they did not look like a playoff contender. Then, they suddenly turned it on and flew up the standings in the eastern conference. However, the Raptors then cooled off and found themselves squarely in the play-in tournament. However, they got hot again and have surpassed the Cleveland Cavaliers to claim the #6 seed currently. Meanwhile, the Magic have been easily one of the NBA's worst team all season. Without further ado, let's get to a Raptors Magic prediction and pick.

Here are the Pacers-Celtics NBA odds, courtesy of FanDuel.

Orlando Magic: +11 (-110)

Why the Raptors Could Cover the Spread

Toronto is obviously a much better team than Orlando, as seen in the 11-point spread. But they are also much better at covering the number. The Raptors are among the best in the NBA covering the spread, matching their overall record of 44-32. On the other side, the Magic are 34-43 against the spread. That's obviously better than their overall record, but is still not good at all.

The Raptors have won four straight games and eight of their last 10. So, they are playing at a high level right now. They also still have a lot to play for. Toronto wants to keep the #6 seed and stay out of the play-in tournament. So, it's not likely they will be resting anyone even if they are up big in this one.

Plus, the Raptors are mostly healthy. Only backup guard Malachi Smith is going to miss this game. Whereas, the Magic will be without Jalen Suggs, who carried Orlando to a win over the Raptors March 5th.

Why the Magic Could Cover the Spread

As bad as the Magic are, and they are bad, they tend to play a bit better when facing double-digit spreads. As I mentioned above, they actually beat the Raptors 103-97 a few weeks ago. In their other matchup this season, the Magic only lost by a single point, 110-109. So, these two teams thus far have played close contests.

The Magic, despite losing four straight, have scored 110 in two of those contests. So, offensively they are playing a bit over their head lately. The Raptors have allowed over 100 points in three of their last four, despite winning each game. It is also possible that Toronto holds a really big lead and plays their backups late in this game.

Final Raptors Magic Prediction & Pick

Toronto laying 11 points is a lot, especially against a team they have struggled against this season. But I simply cannot take the Magic here. I'm not a huge fan of either side, but if I am going one way or the other, I am actually laying the points. I Actually prefer the over 117 more than either of those. Both teams have been playing better offensively of late, and we know the Magic defense is awful.

I don't think I would parlay it, as I am not as convinced Toronto covers the number, but if I did, this is what it looks like.

Pick: Toronto -11 (-110) / Over 117 (-110)
