It's been a whirlwind couple of days for Glen Robinson III as a handful of teams try to court him and invite them to their respective rosters. In a surprising turn of events the 26-year old has inked a 2-year deal with the Sacramento Kings (per Michael Sotto of Hoops Hype) which guarantees that he is indeed heading to California this next season – norther California, that is.

Both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers were reportedly the front-runners to acquire the young swingman prior to his decision to sign with the Kings. You'd assume that a journeyman like Robinson III would prefer a championship-caliber team and sign with either LA-based squads but apparently, he sees a better fit and future with the young Sacramento team.

A defensive-minded shooter like Robinson III certainly adds impact to the Kings without breaking bank. They'd need all the help in the world right now in their wings given that they opted not to match the Atlanta Hawks' offer to Bogdan Bogdanovic.

With the way things are going right now with their starting guard  in Buddy Hield, Robinson III is a great pickup for the Kings front office. Though the former Slam Dunk Champion isn't as proven of a shooter compared to both Bogdanovic and Hield, he has proven so far in his career that he can definitely hold his own as a starting option especially with his defensive intensity.

Robinson III enters a young Sacramento Kings team who will be spearheaded point guard De'Aaron Fox and big man Marvin Bagley III coming into the 2020-2021 season. They had an outside chance of making it to the playoffs last season and they're hoping that revamping their wings could help them get over the hump.
