The Philadelphia 76ers-Portland Trail Blazers showdown provided an epic finale after the Blazers' Anfernee Simons and the Sixers' Furkan Korkmaz traded clutch shots in the last five seconds of the game.

With the Sixers leading by one, 126-125, Simons drained a corner three with 2.2 seconds left to give the Portland the lead.

Unfortunately for the Rip City team, those 2.2. seconds gave the Sixers enough time to draw up the perfect play. Much like how Simons stepped up big for Portland, Philadelphia also tapped into an unlikely hero of their own.

With Ben Simmons inbounding the ball, the Sixers designed a play that opened up Korkmaz for a wide-open corner pocket triple to give Philly the lead and the road win.

Could this rival the Nets-Timberwolves opening day showdown for game of the year so far? Perhaps.

Philadelphia trailed by as much as 19 points in the third quarter before storming back late in the fourth. Portland led for the entire game up until the final moments, when Ben Simmons converted on two free-throws with 10.1 seconds remaining to give them their first lead of the night.

Anfernee's clutch trey ensued shortly. It looked like Portland would salvage their blown lead, but Korkmaz and the Sixers managed to steal the road victory with Brett Brown's perfectly designed play.

With the way the two young prospects came up big for their respective teams, perhaps this can catapult Korkmaz and Simons into the regular rotations for the Sixers and Blazers, respectively.

Korkmaz finished with 11 points with three 3-pointers in 20 minutes off the bench. Meanwhile, Simons scored 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting in 14 bench minutes.
