Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook and Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray weren't pleased with one another down the stretch in Friday night's game between the two teams.

In a jump ball situation with less than 40 seconds remaining in a nine-point game, the two players nudged each other a bit at the top of the key.

That led to Westbrook delivering a nice little shove to Murray, which saw players and referees intervene before a bigger exchange had a chance to happen.

Of course, it was Murray that would get the last laugh, as the Nuggets earned the 109-98 victory to move to 19-9 on the season in what was the team's second straight win.

Murray got the better of the individual matchup from a scoring standpoint as he finished with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Westbrook scored just 13 points but did add 14 rebounds and eight assists.

Paul George posted a game-high 32 points on 12-of-24 shooting, and it was Nikola Jokic that led the way for Denver by nearly notching a triple-double with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists.

With the victory, the Nuggets remain in good shape at the top of the Northwest Division, with the Thunder a game and a half back at 17-10 overall.

Denver has now won both meetings between the two teams to this point in the season, as Murray and company scored a 105-98 win in Oklahoma City back on Nov. 24.

The Thunder will return home for a clash with the L.A. Clippers on Saturday night, and the Nuggets will get an extra day to prepare for a matchup against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.
