The NBA preseason games might have no bearing and is mainly used to improve players' conditioning and for the team to run some plays they practiced in real-game situations.

But Atlanta Hawks center Dwight Howard showed the hustle more often seen in the playoffs. In an attempt to keep the possession, the eight-time All-Star dove for the ball and hit a monitor on the media's table. He easily could have allowed it to just go out of bounds, but he hustled for it.

The Hawks' caption on their tweet couldn't have been more spot on:

Some reporters had a field day on Twitter and had a good laugh after seeing the 6-foot-11 big man crash on the poor monitor.

The Atlanta faithful are hoping to see more plays like this from Howard, as long as he does not hurt himself in the process. He's expected to be relied upon heavily as their defensive anchor and help the team win more games this season.
