Rookie Sharife Cooper saved the day for the Atlanta Hawks with a buzzer-beater in their Summer League showdown with the Indiana Pacers. Trae Young, who was in Las Vegas to watch, was so hyped that he almost broke the rules.

Cooper pulled off the insane corner game-winner for the Hawks following a botched inbound save by the Pacers. As the players scrambled for the ball, the 20-year-old guard had the presence of mind to free himself up to get the ball and hoist up a last-second shot.

Trae Young took it to Twitter to share his reaction to the epic buzzer-beater. Apparently, following the buzzer-beater, the Hawks star went to the court in hopes of celebrating only to be stopped midway. He did make sure to praise Sharife Cooper in his tweet, though.

It's hard to blame Young for his reaction. After all, any teammate who sees that kind of play would be hyped and would want to celebrate with the rest of the team.

Unfortunately, as Ice Trae said himself, it's not allowed due to COVID-19 rules.

But hey, at least Cooper knows how much Young loved his shot. The 48th pick of the 2021 draft had a big game for the Hawks overall, finishing with 21 points on 62.5 percent shooting from deep.

It sure looks like Trae has a reliable backup coming in 2021-22.
