The Atlanta Hawks are aiming to snag a top 10 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and surround Trae Young with more depth.
NBA fans should keep their eyes on the Hawks, who are among the teams to monitor closely this week.
Multiple sources say they have been actively looking to move into the Top 10 and are eyeing Portland’s selection at No. 7, among other scenarios.
The Hawks appear to have a genuine interest in drafting a guard to pair with Trae Young. This means that nobody is safe on their roster. In fact, John Collins, Clint Capela, and Kevin Huerter have all surfaced as trade possibilities.

If Atlanta stands pat on the No. 16 pick, however, Ohio State guard Malaki Branham makes sense as one of the higher-upside prospects potentially available outside the lottery, factoring in his youth and current trajectory.
Branham is a bit undersized for a scoring wing and isn’t extremely explosive, but he’s crafty and smart. He was a nice surprise for the Buckeyes, and while it’s hard to expect him to step in early and help a team, he’s a worthwhile development pick in this range.
If the Hawks do make a major move and go for the No. 7 pick, Australian youngster Dyson Daniels and Kentucky Wildcat Shaedon Sharpe loom as probable options. Daniels is a potentially solid playmaker and perimeter defender, while the Canadian-born Sharpe is a mysterious prospect who may have a high upside.
