The Atlanta Hawks were eliminated in Game 5 of their first-round series against the Miami Heat on Tuesday night, losing 97-94. Hawks superstar Trae Young once again struggled in Game 5, scoring only 11 points. After the game, FOX Sports' Skip Bayless took to Twitter to destroy the rising star.

“No Kyle Lowry, No Jimmy Butler. And Trae Young went 2-12 and 0-5 from three for a grand total of 11 points as his Hawks barely got closed out in Miami. I'll say it again: “Ice Trae” is laughably overrated – just a cute little sideshow. He melted every game in this series.”

It's hard to argue with Bayless' assessment, at least in terms of this series. The Hawks sharpshooter scored a total of 77 points in the five games. For context, Max Strus scored 70. If you are asking “who is Max Strus” then you are stating the obvious point.

The Heat were without their veteran floor general in Kyle Lowry, as well as their best player in Jimmy Butler Tuesday night. Butler is also one of the better defensive players in the NBA. In theory, that should have helped Young break loose as the Hawks fought for their lives.

Instead, Young had arguably his worst game of the series. For the series, Young hit only 31.8 percent of his shots from the floor and only 18 percent from beyond the arc. He actually had more turnovers than any other single category, including made baskets. Young turned the ball over 30 times in the series.

Bayless is known for making some outrageous claims to garner attention. But the numbers back up his case this time.
