Atlanta Hawks rookie Trae Young just nutmegged Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. In their game on Tuesday, the Hawks executed a pick-and-roll play to perfection.
In the clip below posted by Bleacher Report, Young made James silly by slipping in a pass between the latter's legs. Perhaps the only bad thing about this clip is that Omari Spellman wasn't able to finish the play. Good thing, however, that a blocking foul was called.

Though initially tagged as a marksman from downtown, Young hasn't really made his presence felt in his first season as a basketball pro. For the season, he's shooting 31.4 percent from downtown or 1.7 makes per game on 5.5 attempts. Perhaps it will take some time before Young fully develops into a sharpshooting guard.
But for now, he's making his mark as a legitimate point guard for the Hawks. He's averaging 7.4 assists per game — first among rookies. In terms of scoring, the 20-year-old is averaging 16.8 points per game — which is second among rookies, right behind Luka Doncic who's averaging 20.8 points per game.
The clip above is a good proof of Young's great court vision and quick presence of mind. He may not be the 3-point assassin like everyone expected. But he's making his mark by way of assists.
